Why is my computer sluggish and overheating?
The EdgeRover™ software catalogs your devices, extracts previews, analyzes photos to recognize objects within them and compares images to group together identical ones. EdgeRover also monitors changes to files in order to keep the catalog up to date, such as when adding files to a folder, or renaming files. All of this requires a lot of processing.
While the software monitors your system resources to avoid overheating and slowing down the machine when you are working, under some circumstances this can still happen.
EdgeRover has a Turbo Mode that can improve cataloging speed.
