Introduction to the Single Item View

Items in your EdgeRover™ Catalog are displayed in different views, such as in widgets, search results, and Collections, and in different ways, such as in lists and thumbnail grids. Wherever you see a file, you can click it to open a special view called a Single Item View. This gives you a large, high-quality preview of a file, plays a movie or audio file, more information about a file, and a list of actions.

Remember that what you see in your EdgeRover Catalog aren't copies of your files. When you catalog images, the preview images created by EdgeRover aren't the original files. The original files are still stored on whichever Source you have them.

If the file in the Single Item View is part of a group of files, moving the mouse cursor over the left and right sides of the preview causes and buttons to appear. You can use these to move to the previous or next file in the group. You can also use the arrow keys on your keyboard to move back and forth between files in the group.

See more details of the preview image

When you look at a preview, you might want to get a better view of details in the image. There are two ways to do this:

  1. Fullscreen mode: Click Fullscreen to let EdgeRover use your entire screen. To return to the normal view, click Fullscreen again or press the `Esc` key on your keyboard.
  2. Zoom mode: To zoom in, click Zoom in . Once you've zoomed in, if the image no longer fits in the viewing area, click and drag anywhere on the image to drag it around. To zoom out, click Zoom out . You can also click the button or double-click the image to return it to its default size.
