Managing your digital items
This help topic relates to the Single Item View.
Previews are available regardless of whether or not the source file is currently available. The actions you can take on a file depend on its availability.
Actions always available
- View and edit information about the file (Viewing file information)
- Add to a collection (Add to Collections)
Actions available only when the original file is available
If the original file is stored on an external storage device, that device must be connected to your computer to perform the actions below:
- Open the file (Opening a file)
- Open the location of the file (Show Location)
- Take actions on the file (Renaming, copying and deleting a file)
- Play a video or audio file (Playing media files)
